We are thrilled to share that a portion of each sock purchase will be donated to the National Association for Down Syndrome. World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) is celebrated on March 21st. The day and month of the day were chosen specifically to correspond to 3 copies of the 21 chromosome. It has become tradition to wear crazy socks on WDSD to raise awareness for Down syndrome because chromosomes are shaped like socks and people with Down syndrome have an extra chromosome.

The National Association for Down syndrome provides an array of services to children and adults with Down syndrome. The organization also serves babies with Down syndrome by providing support and guidance to their parents. PigMint socks are available in adult sock sizes 9-11 (typically fits women's shoe sizes up to 9) and 11-13. Kid sizes typically fits shoe sizes toddler 10 through child's size 3, measure approximately 7.25 heel to toe.

All products are pre-washed in hot water with professional garment detergent. While the dye has been permanently affixed, I do recommend washing separately for the first few washes to ensure no extra color bleeds onto other items.
