Soft Shell Cold Weather Pants are designed for use in moderate to cold weather conditions as a soft shell in conjunction with other base and insulation layers. Constructed from stretchy and breathable waterproof materials, the pants are lightweight, low bulk and provide exceptional comfort for movement. The U.S. Army s next generation cold climate clothing system. Whether training at home or fighting overseas, warfighters are exposed to a wide range of extreme environmental conditions - from warm, dry or wet weather at 15 degrees or to extremely cold weather exceeding minus 40 degrees. The third generation ECWCS is no longer just a cold weather clothing system, it has been transformed into an advanced climate fighting clothing system that enhances soldier survivability in a wide range of climatic conditions.
