Native to China and Japan, Sharon fruit, also known as kaki fruit or Persimmons, are typically eaten fresh, cooked or even candied. It has a red-orange tomato-shaped skin and jelly-like flesh when ripe. The fruit typically remains firm upon ripening with no tangy aftertaste.

Ripen at room temperature and store refrigerated for several days. Then simply rinse, peel and slice.
