Arenas Sangrentas - 26 de Outubro de 1956
Um menino mexicano, Leonardo (Michel Ray), adota um touro depois de salvar a vida do animal durante uma tempestade. A amizade entre o garoto e o touro, apelidado de Gitano, é posta em cheque quando os verdadeiros donos do animal aparecem e levam-no para a arena. Por causa do pedido do garoto, o presidente do México assina um ''perdão'' para o touro. Mas o papel não sai a tempo suficiente. E Gitano é levado à Praça do México para ficar frente a frente com o toureiro Fermín Rivera. O desconhecido Robert Rich, ganhador do Oscar de melhor roteiro por esse filme, era na verdade pseudônimo de Dalton Trumbo, à época proibido de trabalhar por ter seu nome na lista negra durante a caça às bruxas em Hollywood.
